We are expanding our team – Social Pedagogue Focused on Safety and Relationships

Do you want to help create a safe and developing school environment where student health, relationships, and social development are at the center? We at Vittra are now looking for an engaged and responsible social pedagogue who wants to become an important part of our team.

With us, you will work in a school where safety, community, and personal development are the focus. We work closely together in school and after-school care with a strong student health team, where you as a social pedagogue play a central role in building relationships, promoting safety, and supporting students in their social and emotional development. You will collaborate with the school's student health team, consisting of a school counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, special educators, and school management, to ensure that all students receive the right support. Part of your mission will be to lead discussions on difficult issues and handle situations that require patience, attentiveness, and a professional approach.

We are looking for someone who is a trained social pedagogue or has other relevant education and experience working with children and youth in a school environment. You are a responsive, motivating, and secure person who is passionate about creating an inclusive and safe environment for students. To succeed in this role, you need to be independent and responsible, but also have good collaboration skills. You possess a high degree of personal maturity and can act professionally in pressured situations. Patience and a solution-focused work approach are crucial, as well as the ability to handle conflicts and lead discussions in a safe and respectful manner.

Your tasks will include relationship-building and supportive work with students, both individually and in groups, as well as working on safety-promoting and preventive measures together with the school's staff and student health team. You will be an important part of the school's values and equal treatment work and support students in conflict management and social development. As a social pedagogue, you will also act as a link between the school, home, and external actors when needed.
