Job Description
Are you motivated by working to help young people in vulnerable life situations? Are you calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations? Do you also enjoy planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively and communicating well in both speech and writing? Then you might be the person we are looking for!
We are now seeking group leaders for our locked treatment units Laxbro and Torsjö, which accommodate school-age boys. As a group leader with us, you will daily meet employees who are passionate about making a difference for vulnerable youth. Together, you will work to ensure that the young people living here have a safe everyday life with good treatment. You will have experienced and dedicated colleagues to support you. The institution is in a development process where you, as a group leader, play a key role in the change process.
The group leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and operationally leading and distributing the daily work, and has their workplace on the unit to be present and operational in the activities. The group leader should contribute to a safe and secure environment for both young people and employees. The role includes guiding employees in their daily work and ensuring that the work is conducted legally and according to applicable governing documents and methods, as well as in accordance with the unit's direction and set goals. The role of group leader requires a lot of communication and joint planning with treatment staff, teachers, social services, and the youth's network.
To thrive in the position of group leader, you need to be able to make quick decisions in pressured situations, have the ability to distinguish between personal and professional matters, be resilient when things get tough, and have the ability to empathize with others' perspectives. The work is challenging but very meaningful.
Qualifications
Relevant university degree with a focus on social, health, or behavioral sciences, or other education combined with work experience that SiS considers equivalent.
You need to have several years of documented work experience in SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant fields.
A driving license (category B) is required, as well as a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language.
We see it as a strong merit if you have previously held a leadership role.
As a person, you need to be good at collaborating, have a high level of personal maturity, be structured, and always act as a good role model for colleagues and youth.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, but the position may include on-call duties in the evenings/nights and weekends.
