What we offer you!

We are looking for a child secretary for the Family Home Unit. We work with placed children and their foster homes. The unit is divided into two teams with 9 child secretaries, one of whom is a senior caseworker and 8 foster home secretaries, led by two unit managers responsible for each group. Together with the unit manager and driven colleagues, you will have the chance to develop the work with placed children and young people, their families, and foster parents. We want you to succeed and develop with us, and we believe that the large network of competent colleagues you will find here provides you with the conditions for that. You will have friendly colleagues with long experience in the profession.

Your work will involve following up on the care of foster-placed children and adolescents. You will be the caseworker responsible for ensuring that the child's development is as favorable as possible. This involves close cooperation with the child/adolescent, the foster home, guardians, foster home secretaries, and other adults, such as the biological family, school, and BUP, who are around the child. In other words, collaboration is important. The position may involve travel with overnight stays.

Your special task is to build a relationship with the child/adolescent and become a person they can trust. You will act as a representative for the child and safeguard their interests. It is also the child secretary's task to manage ongoing documentation and be responsible for any investigations of the child's needs. We work based on Signs of Safety and BBIC's basic principles.

The position is a permanent employment starting immediately or by agreement.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in social work with children and young people. Experience in authority exercise within social services is an advantage, as is experience and/or knowledge in working with placed children and foster homes. You have experience in documentation, good knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, as well as guidelines and routines within the area of authority exercise. You express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing and have good computer skills.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and believe that you are stimulated by collaboration and contacts with other people and have the ability to understand different situations from your professional role. Your ability to communicate and build trust with both the individual and relatives and partners is crucial for your success in your role. You are secure and strong in yourself and have the ability to act calmly, composed, and independently in stressful situations. You have good analytical skills, which are required to assess the child's needs. You enjoy switching between different tasks and independently planning and taking responsibility for them. As change takes time, it is important that you understand this and have the ability to maintain motivation even in more complex processes. You like development and are happy to contribute ideas and thoughts to the group.

For the job, you need a B driver's license.
