At the Employment Administration in Hässleholm, we work with cross-functional goals, continuous improvements, and the development of our operations. Financial assistance consists of two units that closely collaborate across unit boundaries, which means you will have many wonderful colleagues! The units are divided into teams where the Reception Team and the New Assessments Team work based on short-term processes, while the teams handling ongoing cases focus on longer processes and self-sufficiency assignments.

With us, you will have the opportunity to specialize in a broad area, where the reception handles all new applications. You will be part of the initial phase of the application process, which means you will assess short-term applications and provide advice and support to applicants, relatives, and partners. The work also involves receiving newcomers to the municipality as well as handling estates and temporary estate management.

You will receive support in your work through regular team meetings and case supervision within the team and in larger groups where colleagues, supervisors, and specialist social workers participate.

Your workplace will be at Tingshusgatan 1, a few minutes' walk from the central station, where there are good commuting opportunities by train and bus. The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible or by agreement.

Who Are You?

You have a degree in social work, are an experienced computer user, and have at least 5 years of experience in social work, of which at least 3 years in financial assistance and experience in reception work with updates and new applications. You have experience in authority exercise and the documentation requirements within the field of financial assistance. A driver's license is required as the position may involve travel within the municipality. We value your good communication skills and your ability to meet our applicants with attentiveness, clarity, and, when necessary, use low-arousal responses.

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness. You are flexible and can handle changing work conditions, and you enjoy that each day is unique and presents new challenges. You have the ability to quickly reprioritize and adapt to the urgent needs that arise in your work. We seek someone who enjoys meeting people in various vulnerable situations and has the ability to meet their needs with empathy and professionalism, without resistance.

You are meticulous and can independently search for and analyze information to make well-founded decisions. Structuring tasks, driving your own processes, and choosing the best approach are things you excel at. You contribute your knowledge and experience to the group and work together with your team colleagues to develop the team's processes.

It is an advantage if you have experience with estate declarations and provisional estate management.

The administration's overarching main task is to coordinate processes to help more individuals achieve sustainable self-sufficiency. The administration includes Financial Assistance, the Labor Market Unit, Komvux, and Yrkeshögskolan Syd.

The financial assistance area receives applications for financial assistance and plans together with the applicant to achieve work or other means of support as soon as possible. Financial assistance is temporary economic aid when one can no longer support oneself and one's family. The operation collaborates with the labor market unit and other actors.
