Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization founded in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with the Social Insurance Agency/muncipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

Are you independent, creative, enjoy coming up with fun activities, responsible, have a strong work ethic, and still have a childlike spirit? Then you might be the one we are looking for. The person I am inquiring about is a cheerful and social guy with cerebral palsy and an intellectual disability. In my free time, I enjoy meeting friends, bowling, swimming, music, and playing on the iPad.

A driver's license is a plus but not a requirement. You should be smoke-free and not have pet allergies, as both dogs and cats are present in the home. You need to be in good shape, with a good back and health, as lifting may occur. You should also have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing.

Typically, there are 2-3 shifts per week, between 15:30-08:30 on weekdays with a waiting time of 6 hours. There are 24-hour shifts with 6 hours of waiting time on weekends and during summer vacations. Please note that you will always work nights during your shifts with waiting time. I am primarily looking for a summer substitute who can work during the summer when the rest of us are on vacation, but starting from 4/8-2025, you can join a parental leave schedule that continues until 31/12-2025 with a good chance of extension.
