JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the Reception, you will be responsible, together with a colleague, for all incoming reports, applications, and preliminary assessments regarding children, youth, and adults, except for financial support. The work is varied and involves a lot of collaboration within the organization and externally. You will participate in the school's EHT meetings, inform other authorities about our mission and collaboration, etc. The unit is a consolidated authority where social workers for children and youth, social workers for adults, foster care and child protection workers, and a coordinator for safety planning and home solutions work together. The unit is led by a unit manager and a senior social worker.

The unit for investigation and follow-up is part of the operational area of Individuals, Families, and Work, and we are currently in the midst of a broad implementation of Signs of Safety that will permeate the entire organization's approach and the transition to the new social services act.

Your responsibilities include close collaboration with other units within the operational area, providing advice, and cooperating with, for example, psychiatry, health centers, and of course internally with your colleagues in the other units of social services.

The position is a temporary contract during a colleague's parental leave.

We offer a unit with a reasonable workload, experience, lots of laughter, and close supervision. The workgroup receives external supervision. We also want to ensure a good balance between work and leisure, with flexible hours and the possibility of remote work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker with a degree in social work and has experience in social services authority work. You should also:

  • Want to work closely and actively with the individuals we meet and their networks
  • Be willing to collaborate both with colleagues and externally
  • Share our fundamental idea that everything we do should be characterized by respect and client focus, and that children's participation is important

Knowledge of Signs of Safety and Domestic Violence is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, that you can express yourself well in speech and writing, and have good pedagogical and communicative skills. Experience with Lifecare is desirable.

A valid driver's license (manual) is required as you will be driving in your work.
