Treatment Pedagogue at SiS LVM Home Lunden
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS LVM Home Lunden accepts women and men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We receive clients who have mental health issues and clients who need medical care. We operate in Lund and Höör.
Job Description
Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work, providing support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to the smooth running of daily activities, cooking, chores, and more. Case management is also one of your responsibilities. Your work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
You will be part of our Karlsvik team, which has moved into newly renovated premises in Lund since March. The Karlsvik team has previously focused on men but will soon include women as well, depending on the needs within the authority.
Our vision is to be a place for change, which permeates our approach, engagement, and attitude.
Working hours are according to a schedule, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
As a new employee, you will undergo introductory training. The training combines theory with guided introduction, preparing you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help individuals in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and easily build relationships with young people as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You collaborate well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational university (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent degree from a university
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
At SiS, we care about good employee relations. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee relations.
