Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/the municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

I am looking for someone interested in working day and night shifts as a personal assistant. I am seeking both staff for a permanent position and temporary workers when my regular assistants are absent, as well as summer substitutes.

Workplace: Primarily in my home in Hässleholm and wherever I am.
Working hours: The shifts are scheduled as day and night shifts with standby time (on-call) during the night. Temporary worker shifts can be divided into smaller shifts if necessary.
Job responsibilities: I can tell you what I need help with. Since I am in a wheelchair, you as a personal assistant need to be my extended arms and legs and support me with what is needed.
Scope: Permanent position at 65% and substitutes as needed.
Other: To thrive with me, you should have a sense of humor, be loyal, and prefer a quieter work environment. I live in my own ground-floor apartment in Hässleholm. It is important that you as an assistant are attentive and can take a step back but also take your own initiative.

You must be smoke-free and not have pet allergies since I have a dog and also interact with other animals. A driver's license is an asset but not a requirement. I would like you to be open to vaccination against COVID-19 as I am in a risk group.

Before you are offered a position, you will need to provide an extract from the police records in accordance with the cooperative's board decision.
