Social Services
The Social Services in Örkelljunga municipality consists of social services, elderly care, municipal health care, care for people with disabilities, and preventive functions. We are organized into preventive units, authority units, and execution units. Our guiding principle is teamwork, utilizing the strength of a small municipality to work closely together in short decision-making paths for an efficient organization and a service-oriented perspective.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a residential support worker, you will perform both social and practical support measures to strengthen and assist individuals in their daily lives, both within and outside the home, all based on a solution-focused and low-arousal approach. The goal is to contribute to a recovery process for the individual that can eventually make the support unnecessary. The assignment may involve providing support and guidance in carrying out various tasks at home as well as performing delegated health care tasks. The support must be flexible and designed with consideration to the individual's changing needs based on a personal implementation plan.
As a residential support worker, you will collaborate with the organization's nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. Daily tasks may include support with shopping, motivation to maintain structure and schedules, support in well-being, and contacts with various authorities.
Documentation is an important part of the work to ensure that the needs of the users are met in the best possible way. We use Lifecare as a system for social documentation and Intraphone to plan our interventions. The individual needs determine which interventions are relevant and how often they are provided. Interventions are assessed based on the Social Services Act.
Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. On weekends, there is a split shift with a longer break in the middle of the day.
WE OFFER:
During the summer vacation, the ambition is that half of our regular staff is on duty, which means that substitutes receive a good introduction and shadowing with experienced colleagues.
We offer our summer substitutes a monthly salary if desired. We also provide employee-promoting activities and a wellness allowance worth 800 SEK.
If you have previous experience in the care profession and wish to take on greater responsibility, we offer a mentorship supplement for those who want to take extra responsibility and support less experienced substitutes. Contributions to teamwork, improvement suggestions that can enhance our ability to handle crisis situations, and improve continuity plans are particularly rewarded through salary supplements based on hours worked, with an additional 1000 SEK for under 100 hours worked and an additional 2000 SEK for over 100 hours worked.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a caregiver or trained nursing assistant in psychiatry or similar education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. If you have pedagogical or treatment-oriented education, this is considered an asset. Experience with motivational interviewing (MI) is also an asset.
We prefer that you have in-depth knowledge of various functional variations, and it is advantageous if you have a broad competence and work experience within the field and target group.
You have knowledge, experience, and a genuine interest in working with people. Your ability to find a good balance between helping and guiding is strong, and it is natural for you to be a good role model for users and colleagues.
Your drive, commitment, and positive attitude create a meaningful everyday life for the users, where the individual's needs are always at the center. You are self-directed and have a good ability to plan your day and can adapt to changing circumstances, believing that nothing is impossible! The team is small, where collaboration, care, and flexibility with your colleagues are crucial.
You have good computer skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
A driving license (B) is required.

OTHER
Interviews are conducted continuously during the application period, and appointments are made by agreement.
In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must present a valid work permit or be exempt from the requirement for a work permit, which is required after verification according to the Aliens Ordinance.
