Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.
IES is one of Sweden's largest school groups at compulsory school level with 48 schools and around 32,000 students across the country. IES has grown steadily and maintained quality since 1993.
Teacher of English for Grades 7-9
Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) Lund is a school for grades 4-9 with approximately 700 students and 80 staff members. IES Lund is a school where teachers can focus on teaching, students are given the opportunity to learn, and everyone enjoys coming to school every day. The school has an international orientation, and instruction is conducted in both English and Swedish. The school prioritizes learning and knowledge. Students learn to take personal responsibility for their own development and work environment and to respect their classmates, teachers, and themselves.
We are now looking for a certified teacher for grades 7-9 with subject competence in English.
The position includes shared mentorship. You have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from various countries and to provide each student with the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions and abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct lessons
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate documentation
- Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's community
Who are you?
- You have a teaching degree with qualifications and certification to teach English in grades 7-9.
- Experience working in a school is an advantage.
- Experience living and working in an English-speaking country is an advantage.
- You are passionate about development and a collegial working approach.

The position is a permanent, full-time (100%) position starting in August 2025. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Salary according to agreement, collective agreement exists.
