Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a special educator with a strong commitment to students' learning, health, and development. The special educator's mission is to assist the school with special educational expertise at all organizational levels and to contribute to school development. The role includes working towards a well-functioning student health system to support students' development towards educational goals.

Your main responsibilities include mapping students' and groups' needs, analyzing the school's work in relation to learning, and planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions. You will also be responsible for coordinating the handover of students, mentoring and training educational staff and student assistants, as well as participating in the school's student health team and quality work. Additionally, you will stay updated on educational research and disseminate new knowledge to strengthen students' learning. Documentation is done in Prorenata, and you will be part of the cross-administrative network for special educational improvement work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Degree in preschool education, teaching, or leisure pedagogy, as well as a special education degree (300 credits).
Previous experience in similar work, preferably with youth.
Previous experience working with youth with disabilities.
Experience with external contacts and collaboration with staff, children, students, guardians, and actors such as habilitation, BUP, and social services.
Very good knowledge of digital tools for communication, pedagogy, and administration.
Good insight into the school's goals and governing documents.
Very good Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious:

Good experience collaborating with other authorities and participating in various networks.

We are looking for someone who is confident in the role of special educator and works health-promoting and preventive. You are flexible, attentive, and have an easy time building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and contribute to good collaborations internally and externally. You have the tools and ability to meet students where they are, good pedagogical skills, and a solution-oriented approach.

About the Workplace

Agnesfrids Gymnasium in Malmö is a school offering both upper secondary and adult education. The school offers several programs, such as the national vehicle and transport program and the electrical and energy program. We provide professional vocational training in well-equipped classrooms. Agnesfrids Gymnasium is a small school with about 300 students where we focus on small teaching groups to ensure high quality in our education. The school is located in Fosieby, close to the job market and other partners.
