Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the elementary school teacher include planning lessons, delivering instruction, and assessing students' acquired knowledge. The teacher evaluates and develops the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the needs and interests of the students, both individually and in collaboration with the team. The teacher conducts modern and creative instruction and finds strategies to reach each student and support them in both knowledge and personal development. For this position, it is important that the applicant has experience working with students in need of extensive special support. The teacher collaborates with other school staff to ensure a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and actively participates in the school's development work. Mentorship is included in the role.

Qualifications

Licensed teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, and English. Experience working with students with extensive special needs is a requirement. Previous experience as a teacher is considered an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. You naturally maintain a professional approach and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
