Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher for grades F-3 to Bergaskolan!

You will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the education and development of the students. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades F-3 in several subjects. You will educate and support the students in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. In addition to your team of teachers, you will also collaborate with the school's after-school care and student health team. In your role, it may also be relevant to take on a mentorship for some of our students. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to closely follow their academic development and personal growth.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades F-3 with broad authorization. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess good didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace

Bergaskolan is a school with all the facilities needed for a grades F to 9 school. Here you will find a large, bright cafeteria, home economics classrooms, a special science building, and a library where students have access to knowledgeable staff, newspapers, magazines, and both new and old literary works as well as factual books in various subjects. Bergaskolan has an auditorium with a stage and seating for 150 people. We conduct all our sports activities in Limhamn's sports hall. Bergaskolan is located in Limhamn, close to the city center, green areas, and the sea. Bergaskolan is a school with determined and motivated students, which is reflected in the good results they achieve. The school has a stable and knowledgeable teaching staff who understand the value of setting expectations and maintaining high standards.
