About the Role and Your Responsibilities

The position involves teaching adult students who are studying English at the basic level at Komvux.

You will participate in the team and the development of our educational programs in both in-person and distance education. The position is a temporary contract from May 1 to June 27.

We are looking for

You have a teaching license in English at the basic level and experience in teaching the subject. It is an advantage if you also have a license in Swedish as a second language.

In your work, you put the student at the center and meet them both as an individual and as part of the collective. You are well acquainted with the school’s governing documents and enjoy developing your teaching. You are digital and relatively familiar with AI, both its advantages and challenges.

As a person, you are unpretentious, development-oriented, attentive, and clear in your communication with both students and colleagues. You have a relational approach to students and are good at working both independently and in teams. A solution-focused mindset is a natural part of your daily work.

Experience in pedagogical work within adult education is an advantage.

About the Workplace

Komvux in Lund offers education in SFI, adapted education, apprenticeship training, basic and upper secondary courses, and vocational training. We have teaching facilities on Glimmervägen in Lund and at Campus Vipan, and the English classes are held at Glimmervägen.

We work to develop our school based on the needs of the students. At Komvux, we have a Learning Center, Kompassen, where students are offered support to succeed in their studies. We are Erasmus accredited, and every year staff have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing, courses, and collaborations with adult education institutions in Europe. The Erasmus work also means that we regularly host colleagues from other countries.
