The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school care, high school, adult education, and student health. Here, about 1100 employees work together to create a safe and developing school and childcare.

At Ystad Gymnasium, we work purposefully to develop our operations and offer education in most high school programs. In area 5, we have 6 vocational programs: Construction and Civil Engineering (BA); Electrical and Energy Program (EE); Vehicle and Transport Program (FT); Hotel and Tourism Program (HT); Craft Program (HV) hairdresser; and Restaurant and Food Program (RL).

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a vocational teacher in electrical engineering for the Electrical and Energy Program (EE). As a vocational teacher in EE, you will teach students in our national program.

You will be part of a work team (EE) where you, together with other colleagues, create a developing study environment for each student. Close collaboration with other teachers in the work team is seen as a natural part of the teaching assignment. In addition to teaching, mentoring and guidance are included in your duties. We work based on a coaching approach with a focus on the individual student's needs and conditions.

An important part of the teacher's assignment is to clearly communicate the goals of the course/education to students, guardians, and staff. Equally important is that you document each student's progression and also follow up and evaluate your work. In your work, you actively contribute to the school's development and take responsibility for your own professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a vocational teacher. It is desirable that you have experience teaching in the electrical program. Teacher qualification and teaching license are meritorious.

As a teacher in electrical engineering, you have knowledge of and practical experience from the industry. You have a great interest in both teaching and young people. You are passionate about your teaching assignment and enjoy being a teacher. Through your teaching, your students achieve good academic results. Contacts with students and guardians are seen as a natural part of your daily work. You see the whole in the pedagogical assignment and you find it easy to motivate students to develop both academically and personally. You keep up with current research and dare to think outside the box. Collaboration is a natural part of your work, and you welcome feedback to improve your teaching.

As a person, you are development-oriented, have good communication skills, and an ability to see the big picture. You thrive in an environment that places high demands on responsibility, flexibility, decisiveness, and social competence. You are a creative colleague who can offer students a good learning environment and you have a good attitude. We place great importance on personal qualities and previous teaching experience.

You have good industry knowledge.
