Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a special education teacher interested in a new assignment with us at Ängslättskolan. The assignment involves working as a special education teacher to enhance students' goal achievement.

As a special education teacher, you will work alongside another special education teacher and a special educator on behalf of the principal and the Student Health Team. You will work both with individual students and as support for teachers regarding adapted materials, adapted teaching, accessible learning environments, and some guidance.

In your role, you will also share responsibility for communication with guardians. You will work across class boundaries, and collegial collaboration is a given. The focus is on creating the best possible conditions for each student's learning. At Ängslättskolan, you will be offered close leadership and good cohesion.

Qualifications

You who are applying have a special education degree with a focus on mathematics. You also have a qualification and degree as a teacher for younger grades (grades 1-6). You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills that enable you to support other educators in teaching in a way that creates a peaceful study environment and a good learning environment for our students.

For the assignment, you also need to have knowledge of NPF diagnoses. It is important that you have the ability to work independently but also gain energy from collaborating with others.

Here, there are about 550 students from preschool class to grade 6, as well as after-school care. Ängslättskolan also has an adapted primary school with 55 students from grades 1-6. The adapted primary school is divided by subjects that have facilities integrated with the primary school and adapted primary school for subject areas whose facilities are located at Broskolan. However, the position only applies to assignments in the primary school.
