Granbackens Preschool is located in newly built premises nestled in the Bulltofta recreation area, where children and educators often go. The preschool has a mature, inspiring, and challenging playground. Children are offered large play areas for physical activity, small nooks, and places for outdoor teaching.

In addition to the 8 departments, we have two common squares for exploration and meetings between children and educators. We work based on a project-oriented and exploratory approach with summer assignments that connect children's learning throughout the preschool year. Focus areas include sustainable development through health, nature, and the environment. The preschool also has a well-equipped preschool library.

Job Duties

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö City have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning and implementing the educational activities in collaboration with competent and engaged colleagues in your team. Together with all educators at the preschool, you drive the operations in accordance with the curriculum, school law, and local plans.

In various ways, you help create inspiring play and learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, based on the children's needs and interests. You have an approach where you put the child first and value a good dialogue with guardians. Together with your colleagues throughout the preschool, you make this a preschool that all children, parents, and staff attend with joy.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher degree and/or preschool teacher certification. We want you to contribute with commitment, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet each child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues.

In the role of preschool teacher, you work from a professional standpoint where you consciously work with children's education, development, and care. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to the overall result and a good working environment.

You work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool, and we would like you to have a strong interest in working from a health-promoting and environmentally conscious perspective with a focus on children's learning. You are also well-versed in preschool routines and create a positive atmosphere. You value collegial learning and believe that with good collaboration, one can go far.

According to the Swedish National Agency for Education, certification is required for permanent employment. If you have a preschool teacher degree but lack certification, you will be employed on a temporary basis.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
