Responsibilities and Tasks
Do you want a responsible and fun summer job? Look here! We are looking for someone who, together with seven other leaders, wants to welcome all the children who get a coveted spot at our summer camp. The role of camp leader includes many different tasks; everything from daily routines regarding cleaning, meals, sleep, and hygiene to leading and organizing activities. Activities may include crafts, crab fishing, swimming in the sea, ball games, and lots of other fun. For the children, a big part of the camp experience is getting to play with the leaders and meet new friends.
The summer camp is held at our camp property in the idyllic Magnarp in Skälderviken in northwestern Skåne. For three weeks, 24 children per week, aged 9-12 years, will experience summer at its best.
Timing for Camp Activities and Working Hours
The camp runs during weeks 25-27 (June 15–July 5), and during week 24 (June 12–13), there will be joint introductory days for everyone who will work at the camp. Working hours during the camp vary, and all leaders (a total of 8 with a kitchen manager) will sleep in their own cabin on the campgrounds during the camp period. The total working time per week is about 50 hours + possible on-call duty. During days off, it is of course free to leave the camp. Days off will occur on varying days during the three camp weeks. The camp is easily accessible by bus/train (Barkåkra station).
As a camp leader, you will have a wonderful and action-packed start to the summer with lots of laughter!
Experience
We are looking for someone who wants to work as a camp leader with us, and it is an advantage if you have a valid B driver's license. We prefer that you have previously worked with children. Perhaps you have been or are a leisure leader, sports leader, worked at another camp, or are an educator working in preschool or school. It is also an advantage if you have leadership experience or work experience from care and welfare. You should be responsible and able to take your own initiatives in the operation. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability for this position.
A background check will be conducted before any employment.
Warm welcome to your application!
