About the Role and Your Responsibilities

In connection with the new social services act coming into force on July 1, 2025, the social services will have a clarified crime prevention responsibility.

The social services are an important crime prevention actor, and alongside broad preventive work, there is a need for initiatives with a clear crime prevention focus. The crime prevention work within the social services encompasses both children with norm-breaking behaviors and specific initiatives to counteract continued norm-breaking behavior and recidivism for all ages.

The social services in Lund want to work proactively to address issues at the individual and group level by creating a sustainable structure in crime prevention work. The project manager for crime prevention work within the social services will be tasked with coordinating the crime prevention efforts and promoting a common approach and working method in crime prevention work based on knowledge and proven experience across the entire administration. This includes mapping and planning the process, monitoring the environment, implementing, leading meetings, building relationships both internally and externally, implementing working methods, and following up and evaluating the work.

The work is conducted under the leadership of the development manager and in close collaboration with relevant managers and employees within the labor market and social administration, the police, and other municipal administrations.

You will be the administration's representative in various working groups and an expert in the field.

The work is conducted as a project until December 31, 2026.

We Are Looking for You

who has a degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in criminology or another social science discipline and at least five years of work experience within social services.

You work proactively and independently, can analyze, prioritize, collaborate, organize, and coordinate various activities to facilitate leadership and management in the process.

Interest in the target group and crime prevention work is a prerequisite for thriving in the role.
