The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was established in 1994 and has since developed international and genuine interdisciplinary education and research focused on accelerating the transition to sustainability.
IIIEE strives to connect research results with their application and actively collaborates with companies, authorities, and organizations locally, nationally, and globally. At IIIEE, the activities are focused on: policy instruments, business models, sustainable consumption, and urban development.
IIIEE's MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are a prioritized activity aimed at enabling lifelong learning for individuals and thereby contributing to positive societal development. MOOCs are also a tool for more effectively disseminating research results. Likewise, MOOCs aim to support regular education and to train the organization's pedagogical skills for the increasing digitalization.
IIIEE is now seeking one or two teaching assistants to support the work with our existing MOOCs and the development of new ones. An existing course also needs to be revised to better address current themes and new knowledge.
Since 2014, IIIEE has developed eight MOOCs, with two or three more to be added in 2022. IIIEE has been able to track the courses' dissemination in terms of awareness, users, and the number of certificates issued after course completion.
Job Responsibilities
The MOOC group at IIIEE now needs one or two teaching assistants for a 15% position. The assistant(s) will work in the MOOC group. The job responsibilities include:
- Support in the development and design of educational videos in the form of interviews, recordings, and editing of video and audio material.
- Development and processing of scientific and other material to fit as content in shorter online courses, including readings, exercises, and quizzes.
- Support for participants in ongoing courses with their questions, submissions, and problem-solving.
- Contribute to external communication and social media, etc.
- Review and quality control of existing material in IIIEE's current MOOCs.
Requirements
- Ongoing education in sustainability management, environmental management, or business management at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics throughout the project period.
- Good skills in producing digital material for images, audio, and video.
- Experience with educational platforms and open educational resources.
- Good communication skills.
- Documented experience working with text materials on themes such as sustainable consumption, environmental policy, circular economy, and energy transition.
- Excellent skills in English, both spoken and written.
Other Qualifications
- Pedagogical experience and/or experience working with pedagogical teams.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Consideration will be given to good collaboration skills, drive, and independence, as well as how the applicant's experience and competence are assessed to complement and strengthen the work within the institution.
Conditions
Fixed-term employment for a maximum of 12 months starting on May 15, 2025, or by agreement. Applicants must be enrolled in a university or college during the entire employment period.
