Woodworking Teacher 50% Permanent Position
Montessori Mondial in Lund F-9 is looking for a qualified and certified woodworking teacher starting August 2025. The position is permanent. We would also like you to be interested in the role of caretaker at the school.
MML is part of Pysslingen Skolor AB, a smaller independent school with 250 students and about 40 staff members who all work closely with both our students and guardians. For twenty-five years, we have been one of Lund's established and quality independent schools. We are located in school premises in Södra Råbylund.
As one of AcadeMedia's primary schools, we prioritize quality and goal fulfillment. We believe that teachers have one of society's most important missions and are therefore looking for teachers who are driven and enjoy creating change for both students and the school as a social institution. Our quality work is structured and progressive. All students to succeed! We seek teachers who believe that students can succeed when we create the right conditions for them. MML has a high goal fulfillment in all grades.
At MML, we work with Chromebooks. As a teacher, you have the didactic tools you need for your teaching.
You will teach in small classes of 12-13 students per grade from grades 3 to 9. You will share the role of woodworking teacher with a textile teacher. Joint assessment, collegial learning, and discussing grades and assessments with colleagues are important parts of the school's working methods. At MML, we focus on good relationships with both students and guardians. We have high expectations of ourselves and the students, and the study motivation among our students is very high.
We work with Wellbeing Leaders at the school, which is why the focus on safety, well-being, and study peace is important cornerstones. 98% of our students report that they feel safe at school. It is therefore of great importance that you are a person who actively contributes to creating good relationships with both students and guardians. We work in mutual respect, and a good tone of conversation and friendly treatment is a given at the school. We want all students to see and feel that they can succeed – in all subjects! We see it as an advantage if you are trained in Montessori pedagogy. You need to be interested in our working methods and willing to develop your teaching in line with Montessori pedagogy's view on students, learning, and knowledge development.
Working Hours/Duration
Part-time 50%, seasonal employment as a woodworking teacher. The position can be extended to 80% with a caretaker role, which we would like you to be able and willing to do. We place great importance on your desire to work at a Montessori school and to be willing to train in the pedagogy if you lack it. Permanent employment. We apply a six-month probationary period.
