Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an experienced and skilled teacher in Mathematics and Science for grades 7-9. You will conduct a varied, creative, and enjoyable teaching experience for our students, both individually and in teams. You will find strategies to reach each student and contribute to increased goal achievement. You will plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. Your role also includes shared mentorship for a class. At Värner Rydénskolan, you will have the opportunity for development through structured collegial learning, where we work both in subject groups and teams. We learn together with an engaged leadership that participates in the development work.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in Mathematics and Chemistry, plus one additional Science subject, either Biology, Physics, or Technology. Previous experience working as a teacher is considered an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you maintain a professional attitude and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace

Värner Rydénskolan F-6 and Värner Rydénskolan 7-9 have been divided into two school units since summer 2023, sharing facilities, administration, and school leadership. Both units are parallel. In total, we have about 400 wonderful children and students who do their best every day to develop and learn together with us adults! In after-school care, we have two departments with around 100 enrolled children in total. We are two resourceful schools with our own special education groups, several lead teachers, dedicated and engaged staff, and a competent and strong student health team. Together, we create a holistic approach for our students, where development and learning are always in focus. We also have a School-IF association and established collaborations with local sports clubs. Here, you will find students with a great desire to learn and curiosity about life, as well as engaged colleagues who work with heart and professionalism to create the best school for each student every day.
