Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a special education teacher and licensed music teacher for grades 1-9 to Mellanhed School's adapted primary school! You will teach all our students in our adapted primary school, focusing on subjects and subject areas from grade 1 to grade 9. Teaching is conducted in classes to provide good conditions for students' learning. Class sizes vary, but typically there are between 5-10 students in each class. You are committed to building good relationships with the students, inspiring and supporting them in their learning. You collaborate with the school's other educators and will belong to one of the work teams. Currently, we have about 60 students in our adapted primary school. The position is a temporary contract, 50%.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed music teacher with a special education qualification focused on IF. You have experience working in adapted primary schools and with students who have an intellectual disability. Knowledge of AAC/TAAC is also a requirement. If you have experience as a special education teacher, we see that as an advantage. You have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students during their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you maintain a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
