Job Responsibilities

You now have the chance to become part of Mellanhed School's adapted primary school as we are looking for a textile craft teacher. As a craft teacher, you work closely with other teachers and teaching assistants. You teach students in the adapted primary school who study with both subject and subject area focus in grades 1-9. You provide students with basic skills and conditions to develop ideas, consider different solutions, create objects, and evaluate the results. You make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities and encouraging creativity and curiosity. You show and make it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a special educator with a focus on IF with the qualification to teach the subject of textile crafts in grades 1-9. You have experience working in adapted primary school and knowledge of AAC and TACC. If you have experience working as a special educator, we consider it an advantage. We expect you to be a person who wants and dares to take your own initiatives. You have the will and ambition to constantly develop the operations towards an inclusive learning environment that captures students regardless of their conditions and interests. You are a team player with a positive view of your surroundings and a flexible and solution-focused working method. You see relationship building as an important path to success and you believe that all people can develop, both academically and socially. Last but not least, you have a formative working method and high positive expectations of students' abilities.

About the Workplace

At our adapted primary school, we have an overarching goal that all students, based on their conditions, should feel motivation, joy, and a desire to learn! Do you agree? Mellanhed School currently has about 1100 students, where the adapted primary school is a natural part of the operations. Our adapted primary school currently has about 60 students and consists of 8 classes in grades 1-9. Students who study both with subject and subject area focus.
