Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will work to ensure that every student reaches their full potential, both academically and socially. The teaching is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach where independence and motivation are in focus. You adapt the teaching according to each student's conditions and follow up on their learning to ensure they meet the knowledge requirements. Through respectful interaction and a supportive learning environment, you create a clear structure where students feel seen and motivated to develop.

Your work includes planning, teaching, assessment, as well as evaluation and development of the educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents. You will be a mentor for students and responsible for written evaluations and grading in relation to the goals. If necessary, you will collaborate with external partners.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Teaching certification
• Eligibility to teach either English, Swedish, Mathematics, or Swedish as a second language in combination with another subject at the upper secondary level
• Eligibility to teach in primary school (grades 7-9)
• Very good subject knowledge
• Good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents as well as the ability to apply them in daily work
• Good experience in using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
• Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form

Meritorious:

• Experience in teaching or educational work
• Experience in teaching relevant subjects
• Experience in teaching within the upper secondary introductory programs or special education groups in primary school (grades 7-9)

We are looking for someone who is confident in the teaching role and who creates good conditions for students' learning and development. You adapt the teaching according to the student's and group's conditions and prior knowledge through a creative approach and a very good pedagogical ability. Your working method is characterized by good structure, and you prioritize and organize tasks efficiently. Additionally, you contribute to good collaborations and communicate openly, clearly, and attentively with your surroundings.

About the workplace

Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is a smaller school unit in central Malmö for students studying individual alternatives (IMA) or vocational introduction (IMY). A few places will also be available for students from other upper secondary schools who temporarily need a different placement. At Malmö Magistratsgymnasium, the individual student is at the center, and great importance is placed on contributing to future confidence, independence, and motivation. The learning environment is created based on a holistic view of both learning and the student's personal development, and the school's culture is built on respectful interactions, supportive learning environments, and high expectations.
