Job Responsibilities

Are you someone who wants to take responsibility with us to shape global citizens who have the courage, knowledge, and skills to develop our future? Then you have the chance, as we are looking for a teacher qualified for grades F-3 for one of our preschool classes. The position is a temporary contract for the autumn term of 2025 as one of our regular teachers will be on parental leave.

The person we are looking for will be part of a fantastic team consisting of teachers and collaborating staff from our after-school care. You will welcome our new students when they start preschool class after the summer, and your responsibility will be one of the classes. For a large part of the day, you will have a colleague from after-school care to collaborate with in the classroom and be an important part of contributing to the school's learning.

Our new team will have clearly allocated time for joint planning and development work, something we prioritize at the school. The team plans, assesses, and collaborates a lot around the students and the tasks included in the teachers' daily work.

As a teacher, you are an incredibly important person for the children and for us. We want you to support and encourage those around you so that everyone can develop to reach as far as possible, both children and adults.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed teacher with qualifications for teaching grades F-3. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an advantage.

You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace

At Klagshamnsskolan, students from grades F to 9 attend. We have two school buildings – the Klagshamn building where preschool class and grade 1 are located, and the Strand building where our students in grades 2 to 9 are located. In addition, we also have after-school activities for grades 4 to 6 in separate premises. We have about 800 students and nearly 90 staff members. The management team consists of a principal, two assistant principals, and an administrative manager.

This year's development work focuses on the Joy of Learning, something we have identified together within the entire school.

To create quality and equity, we allocate joint time for co-planning and co-assessment within the team. To strengthen the feeling of a F-9 school, we create many opportunities for staff at the school to meet across grade boundaries.
