The adapted school in Ängelholm is located at different schools: Grades 1-6 at Sockerbruksskolan and Grades 7-9 at Nyhemsskolan. The adapted upper secondary school is at Victoriaskolan (individual program) and Rönnegymnasiet/Valhall College (national programs).

We are now looking for two to four special education teachers with a focus on intellectual disabilities for the adapted school, for both younger and older age groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach students primarily in subject areas. You will work closely with other educators at the school. Together, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching based on our governing documents and the goals of the organization. To assist you in student health issues, you have the student health team, which includes the principal, school psychologist, school social worker, school nurse, special educator, and study and career counselor. We work with AAC and clarifying pedagogy. We see the whole student's development and place great emphasis on personal development and communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities.

You have good insight and knowledge of the governing documents of adapted schools and apply them in your daily work. You are creative and can adapt your approach and your pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's or student group's needs. We expect you to see each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students. You create good relationships with students and are professional in your interactions with their guardians and your colleagues.

You are a natural leader in the classroom for both students and teaching assistants. You have the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others, helping them to develop and feel good. You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your actions based on the situation. You build trusting relationships and make others feel secure. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. It is also desirable that you have good digital skills. We use the learning platform it’s Learning in Ängelholm Municipality. As a person, you are flexible, development-oriented, and have good collaboration skills and a professional approach. You have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You must be able to present a criminal record extract from the police for work in schools or preschools. 2-4 positions. Experience with the target group is desirable. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
