About Nyhem School

Nyhem School is a primary school for grades 7-9. The school has 6-7 parallel classes in each grade and approximately 480 students. Nyhem School works with three overarching goals:

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will teach grades 7-9 in primary school. There are two teachers teaching wood and metal crafts and two in textile crafts. You will have close collaboration. The craft room is fully equipped and has a separate machine room, painting room, and room for hot work. The assignment also includes being a mentor for a class in primary school together with another mentor colleague.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified/credentialed as a craft teacher. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work. You have the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others and help them develop and feel good. You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your actions based on the situation. You build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians and help others feel secure. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. It is also desirable that you have good digital skills. We use the learning platform itslearning in Ängelholm municipality.

As a person, you are structured, development-oriented, and have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude. You have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

You must be able to present a criminal record extract from the police for work within schools or preschools. The position is 60%.
