About the Workplace

Hermodsdalsparkens preschool is a newly built preschool since March 2024, located in the multicultural area of Hermodsdal. The preschool has two floors with spacious facilities. On the ground floor, there are six departments. There are also shared environments such as a water playroom and studio. On the second floor, there are four additional departments and several shared environments such as a studio, library, and pedagogical kitchen. The outdoor environment is designed to inspire play and learning for all children. The yard will have grass, hard surfaces, and shelter from sun and wind. The preschool is directly adjacent to Hermodsdalsparken with two playgrounds.

We have about 4,560 employees who meet approximately 15,600 children and their guardians every day at one of our 190 preschools. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven preschool teacher who wants to help continue building our education.

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree in preschool education. We would like you to contribute with commitment, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet each child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher's license is required, according to the Education Act. If you have a degree in preschool education but lack a license, you will be employed on a temporary basis.
