Training Unit

The Training Unit (UtbE) conducts basic training for conscripts in the command and communication field and electronic warfare at the Signal Regiment.

The unit has a high level of technology and operates in many different areas, both geographically and technically. We work with command and staff locations, radio links, radio, network technology, satellite communication, operations management, logistics, and mechanics. The unit is also vehicle-heavy with a wide range of vehicle types.

We are looking for you who are currently serving as a conscript and want to develop as a leader and educator and are interested in applying for professional or reserve officer training.

Sigtuna Company (5 positions)

The mission of the company is to train electronic warfare and cyber soldiers with the will and ability to take initiative and who are dangerous to the opponent. We aim to be the best in our field, and the operations are characterized by a striving to always develop as individuals as well as a company.

At the company, conscripts are trained to be war-placed either against one of our electronic warfare platoons or our cyber platoons. Our goal is to ensure that the training creates good conditions for employment, continued engagement, and a career within the Armed Forces.

We will train in four directions during 2025-2026.

• Technical signal intelligence – supporting the navy and air force
• Heavy electronic warfare capability – supporting the army with signal intelligence and electronic disruption
• Light electronic warfare capability – supporting security operations with electronic warfare capability
• Cyber capability – protecting and monitoring infrastructure within the cyber domain

The capabilities we create are in demand in several parts of the Armed Forces, and we are expected to operate throughout the country, from north to south.

Main Responsibilities

The main focus is that you will be offered a position within the same area of responsibility in which you have completed basic training, but depending on the needs of the unit, another position may be considered.

You will be a colleague in a unit that encourages foresight, creativity, quality, and independent action in the spirit of the commander. Development of personal combat value and professional competence is an important part of your job responsibilities. It is a natural part of the work to serve in exercises and occasionally work irregular hours.

The service will take place at Sigtuna Company, either as an instructor in a platoon command team or as an assistant in the company command.

Requirements

• Completed and approved basic training (JA-2-2)
• High school diploma

Personal Qualities

You have good collaboration skills and are responsible. You are solution-oriented and used to working both independently and in a group. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.

Desirable Qualifications

• Completed GBU or leadership experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Driver's license B (Manual)
• Military driver's license
• Basic training at an electronic warfare platoon or cyber platoon
• Experience working with hardware that the employer assesses as relevant for the position.

Other

This is a fixed-term employment for 12 months. (Command Reinforcement Agreement)

The Armed Forces apply individual salary setting.

Start date 2025-07-01 or by agreement.
