Training Unit

The Training Unit (UtbE) conducts basic training for conscripts in command and communication areas and electronic warfare at the Signal Regiment.

The unit has a high level of technology and operates in many different areas, both geographically and technically. We work with command and staff locations, radio links, radio, network technology, satellite communication, operational management, logistics, and mechanics. The unit is also vehicle-heavy with a wide range of vehicle types.

We are looking for you who are currently completing military service and want to develop as a leader and educator and are interested in applying for professional or reserve officer training.

Upsala Company

Upsala Company is a training company that trains conscripts for the 8th and 9th operational communication battalions. During the training year 2025/2026, staff and support platoons as well as two operational radio link platoons will be trained.

Main Tasks (4 positions)

Command Reinforcement at Platoon

As command reinforcement (BFA) at the platoon, you are part of the platoon team. You support both instructors and the platoon leader in the daily work of training conscripts. Your tasks may vary depending on which training phase the platoon is in. The main focus is that you are offered a position within the same area of responsibility as you have completed basic training in, but depending on the unit's needs, another position may be considered. You should have a willingness to work closely with the troops and have the ambition to be a good educator.

Assistant in Company Command

In your daily work, you will be part of the company command and support in preparing materials, checking administration, and compiling orders. You work closely with the company's command team, and great emphasis will be placed on your ability to work independently and take your own initiatives within the framework of your position. The position will vary at times, and elements of training activities, support to the platoons, or troop training may occur. You largely own your own time and solve tasks under your own responsibility.

Requirements

• Completed and approved basic training (JA-2-2)
• High school diploma

Personal Qualities

You have good collaboration skills and are responsible. You are solution-oriented and used to working both independently and in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Driving license B (Manual)
• Military driver’s license
• Basic training at the Training Unit/Upsala Company
• Approved group leader training

Other

This is a fixed-term employment for 12 months. (Command Reinforcement Agreement)

The Armed Forces applies individual salary setting.

Start date 2025-07-01 or by agreement.
