About the Unit
The 51st Basic Training Company is the company at F16 responsible for training conscripts for various positions within the Air Force and F16 Uppland Air Force Wing. The company is subordinate to the 161st Air Base Battalion and is stationed at Uppsala Garrison.
Main Responsibilities
The role of instructor involves being part of a platoon team that plans and conducts training for conscripts. The position is varied and will take place both at the unit and at training and shooting ranges. You will develop in your role as an instructor in the Armed Forces and have the opportunity to lead specific training such as combat training and position training. The position also includes troop leadership in the role.
Qualifications
- Professional officer OR6/7 or OF1
- Driver's license B

You are responsible and have a strong initiative. You strive to develop as an instructor and enjoy teaching. You find it easy to connect and collaborate with others and have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. You are not averse to working under high workloads during periods and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You need to be a role model for conscripts and apply the Armed Forces' core values. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Uppland Air Force Wing, F 16, is headquartered at Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport as well as training conscripts in various positions within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which directs combat aircraft in the air and manages the continuous surveillance of Swedish airspace. The unit operates from several locations in the country and constitutes an important part of the growth period that the Air Force is undergoing.
