Södra Smålands Avfall och Miljö AB (SSAM) is a municipal company owned by the municipalities of Växjö, Lessebo, Tingsryd, Älmhult, and Markaryd. We are responsible for the collection and management of municipal waste and operate in an industry that is constantly changing due to new legislation, technological development, and sustainability goals. We are now looking for an interim head of customer service, who will also have overall responsibility for business development and perform overarching administrative tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the interim head of customer service, you will lead nine dedicated employees who are the face of SSAM. Customer service is responsible for meeting our customers, handling inquiries, and ensuring that communication within and outside the organization runs smoothly.

In addition to your managerial role, you will have an important administrative and strategic role as responsible for management support and board administration. You will be a central person in ensuring effective processes, developing structures, and supporting the management team in driving the business forward.

Your main responsibilities:

Lead the customer service department and create an inspiring work environment where service and efficiency are the focus.
Be responsible for and perform management support & board administration, including notices, minutes, and decision-making materials.
Drive and develop SSAM's new management system and ensure that guidelines, policies, and processes are clear and effective.
Act as the archive representative for the company and ensure that document management is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation.
Develop structures and working methods to create a more efficient and sustainable administration within the company.
Collaborate with the management team, unit managers, and other key individuals to create a cohesive and efficient organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is attentive, structured, and development-oriented. You thrive in a role where you can combine leadership, administration, and business development, and you have a natural ability to create order and clarity in complex processes.

We would like you to have:

A relevant university degree, for example in political science, economics, administration, or organizational development.
Experience in leadership and personnel responsibility.
The ability to work strategically and process-oriented.
An interest in digital systems and how they can streamline administration.
A passion for structure, quality, and communication.
Experience in board administration and archive issues is an advantage.
