Dalsjöskolan is a school where staff and students thrive and work towards good academic results. Dalsjöskolan is a 4-9 school with 630 students and about 100 staff members. We have three parallel classes in the middle school and six in the upper school. The school is a workplace with a positive atmosphere, and we work together based on current research. We have a well-functioning student health team consisting of a special educator, school nurse, school psychologist, and counselor who work preventively in close collaboration with the staff.

At Dalsjöskolan, there is also a municipal special education group for grades 4-9.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in home and consumer studies, you will be responsible for preparation, implementation, follow-up, and assessment of the teaching. It is important that you want to help develop the school's teaching in the subject and that you want to work with students' development and learning from a holistic perspective.

You will be part of a teaching team, where there are opportunities to reflect on your work and receive support as needed, as well as solve challenges together. The position may also include mentorship for a class.

The school also has a well-functioning student health team consisting of a special educator, school nurse, school psychologist, and counselor who work preventively in close collaboration with the staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach home and consumer studies for grades 7-9.

You enjoy being a teacher, meeting young people and adults from different backgrounds and circumstances. You demonstrate good leadership qualities and create safety, order, and structure in the classroom through a professional and positive approach that contributes to students' development in the subjects. You work to create a safe and permissive learning environment with an approach that aligns with the school's values. You easily build and maintain good relationships with students, teachers, and guardians.
