The Catholic School of Notre Dame educates and shapes 350 students from preschool to grade 9 and also runs a preschool, all in the same geographical area. The Catholic School has a 150-year tradition and is the largest among the three existing Catholic schools in Sweden. We are looking for someone with a Swedish teaching license, trained as a special teacher or special educator with a focus on Swedish and/or mathematics. You have experience in meeting students and families from diverse backgrounds and are comfortable working in a multicultural environment. You have a positive attitude towards working in a challenging environment where lively students brighten your day and test all your professional and pedagogical skills. You are comfortable questioning your previous experiences based on scientific grounds to then build up a collegial evidence-based practice. We see that you continuously refine your skills based on research and available literature and can account for the pedagogical choices you make in the classroom and/or with the students you are exposed to, especially when you find solutions for the students who challenge the operation the most. The Catholic School summarizes the teacher's professional practice with three competencies - leadership competence, subject didactic competence, and relational competence - as a synthesis of a long list of studies on the subject. You will contribute to and shape the special educational work at the school, which currently consists of two tracks: teaching interventions and administration/organization. Teaching interventions will mainly take place at the support unit "Jeanne d'Arc" at the school; the organizational part of the assignment consists of managing support hours from teachers and being the spider in the web for investigations and follow-ups of all action programs in grades 4-9.

We will place special emphasis on personal suitability and interest in driving and developing the operations.
