The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, cultural school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for a teacher for grades 4-6 at Ramsberg School. The position is a temporary contract from 2025-08-11 to 2026-06-17.
All students want to succeed in their education, so we are looking for someone who wants to:
- Be part of a work team where you, together with colleagues, are responsible for teaching in the middle school classes based on your subject qualifications.
- Be part of subject teams to develop teaching in the subject and ensure progression!
- Co-assess and participate in the implementation of national tests.
- Be part of stage teams for joint planning and collaboration around routines and students in the stage!
- Lead the interaction between teachers and students.
- Work so that all students can succeed in their education!
- Be an active part of the school's development work such as digital development, increased goal fulfillment, classroom leadership, student influence, and values.
- Ensure students' opportunities for safety and study peace in class and at school.
- Be an active playground supervisor where the student's safety during breaks is the focus and on the way to and from teaching and the cafeteria.
- Work and shape teaching based on the student's needs using a wide range of extra adaptations.
- Plan lessons, work with pre-and post-work, take attendance, and be the responsible teacher for the class.
- Conduct and support in development conversations for students and guardians as well as preparation and follow-up work.
- Meet parents both didactically and informatively.
- Work with extra adaptations in class, pedagogical mapping/analysis, and follow up on extra adaptations and action programs together with special educators/teachers.
- Handle reports of violations, investigations, reporting, and manage conflicts that arise between students.
- Contact and communicate with parents and other staff about students.
- Be a sounding board for colleagues where we together are a natural way of working.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a qualified and certified teacher for grades 4-6 with qualifications to teach mathematics, Swedish, English, and SO/NO. You have experience working with teaching and possess strong communication skills. You are a person with great flexibility who is used to working with students based on a wide range of extra adaptations. You can interact with students, colleagues, and parents. You will be responsible for the class. You can drive school development, lead cross-school projects, and are experienced in working digitally.
