In Tanum municipality, the student health services collaborate at both local and central levels.

Our shared mission and goal is to work together with children/students, teachers, and guardians to create a good social, pedagogical, and physical learning environment based on the different needs and conditions of children/students to acquire and develop knowledge and values.

The child and student health services are aimed at all children and students within preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, and adapted secondary schools, and receive their assignments from the principal. The team consists of special educators, psychologists, social workers, youth counselors, school nurses, and school doctors.

Responsibilities

The primary mission of the child and student health services is to work preventively and health-promoting with the goal of supporting children’s/students’ development towards educational goals as early as possible. In Tanum municipality, you will be part of the child and student health services and will have close collaboration with the principal areas.

Together with the principal and educators, you will be an important force in promoting children’s/students’ development and learning based on their needs and conditions. The common health-promoting and preventive mission and goals are to work together with the principal, educators, children/students, and guardians to create a good social, pedagogical, and physical learning environment at the organizational, group, and individual levels, as well as to acquire and develop knowledge and values.

Other responsibilities include:

being a qualified conversation partner in special educational issues with preschool/school staff, children/students, and guardians.
providing guidance in special educational issues with preschool/school staff, children/students, and guardians.
organizing, planning, and evaluating development work/training initiatives together with the principals in preschool/school and other developing child and student health work.
conducting investigations at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
participating in the establishment of action programs in collaboration with relevant teachers when needed.
participating and following up on general and special handovers of children and students at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
collaborating with internal and external actors.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone with experience and education as a special educator. You are a competent and qualified conversation partner in special educational issues, contributing to creating a high-quality and accessible education for the municipality's children and students through observations, guidance, and further education.

We also see that you are flexible and have the ability to adapt your assignment according to the perceived needs of the units. Humility and the ability to create good relationships in challenging contexts are important for the role. Your approach is characterized by attentiveness, clarity, and the courage to drive issues with the best interests of children and students in focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You also have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A driver's license is required, as well as access to your own car.

We Offer
