JENSEN Gymnasium is a theoretical high school located centrally at Kungsportsplatsen with a view of the Trädgårdsföreningen. Are you a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher in biology, chemistry, and natural science who wants to help develop the future scientists?

JENSEN Gymnasium Gothenburg is now looking for two engaged and driven teachers for our natural science team. We are expanding the number of courses in natural sciences - therefore, we need to expand our teaching staff with additional expertise in biology, chemistry, and natural science. We are looking for someone who is passionate about inspiring and challenging students in their scientific learning. With us, you will have the opportunity to teach curious students in an environment where knowledge, study focus, and safety are prioritized. We work to develop independent and reflective students, and we believe in teaching where structure and clarity are combined with developing students' independence in scientific working methods.

The scope of the position may vary depending on your subject combination, but we are primarily looking for a teacher qualified in biology and chemistry, preferably in combination with natural science. Teaching will primarily take place in the natural science and technology program, but may also include the course Natural Science Level 1b in the social science and economics programs. As a teacher with us, you will be part of a dedicated faculty that collaborates closely to create the best possible development for our students. Therefore, you will not be alone in your subject expertise, but rather become part of a growing subject team. Qualifications

We primarily seek you who are a qualified high school teacher in chemistry and biology but welcome other applicants as well. You are very knowledgeable in your subjects and driven by a desire to teach them to others. As a person, you share our strong commitment to develop and find new methods in your teaching. You enjoy working in a team-oriented manner as we often create projects and collaborations across multiple subjects within the programs. You are structured, driven, and enjoy being a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a good learning environment. Since we have a clear health profile, you are likely on the same track.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent full-time/part-time position starting on 7/8 or by agreement. For this position, we apply a holiday service and a six-month probationary period.

Your Application

Within the high school, you must, according to law (2000:873), present an extract from the criminal record. The extract is done via polisen.se with digital BankID. If you do not have BankID, you can order the form home; do this as soon as possible as manual handling of the form takes a long time.

The first step in our recruitment process is to complete two psychological tests. Test links will be sent via email immediately after the application is submitted, and you will receive feedback on the tests right after you have completed them. Although selection is ongoing, interviews are planned to be conducted during week 16 (Easter break).
