Strandskolan is a Montessori-inspired school run as a parent cooperative. Strandskolan has about 300 children, distributed between primary school and preschool. We have the privilege of following our children/students from a young age through the entire primary school. Here at Strandskolan, there is dedicated and curious staff who, in collaboration with active parents, strive for a joyful learning experience based on each child's needs in a well-prepared environment. Together, we work for the child's learning and social development based on the holistic view of Montessori pedagogy. We are looking for someone who wants to work at our school alongside engaged and positive colleagues and contribute to creating a meaningful and developing work environment for our students and staff. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently, have a strong sense of responsibility, and take initiative. You should easily build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are convinced that all students can succeed.

We would like you to have good computer skills and use digital tools as a natural part of your teaching. You see collegial learning and collaboration with colleagues as a fundamental starting point for creating new and deepened knowledge.

We are seeking a qualified teacher in Natural Science and Mathematics for the middle school team. Your responsibilities include planning and implementing teaching, adapting instruction for students in need of support, and assessing and evaluating students' knowledge levels. You will work in a wonderful team with close collaboration. We hope you will contribute to each student experiencing their unique value, preserving their curiosity, and acquiring knowledge that gives them the confidence to face a constantly changing society.

You are a qualified teacher in Natural Science, Mathematics, and preferably another subject. You have knowledge of curricula and general guidelines from the Swedish National Agency for Education to provide students with the best conditions. You should be aware of and actively participate in systematic quality work to develop yourself and your teaching and be part of developing the school's work and goals.

You should have an interest in and ability to interact trustfully with students, guardians, and colleagues. We have skilled and dedicated staff whom we see as a crucial factor for a good operation. We want you to be engaged, take initiative, be responsible, structured, and have a salutogenic approach.

Experience in mentorship is an advantage.

This position is a vacation service with a start date in August 2025.
