Henåns School currently has about 580 students from preschool class to grade 9 in regular and adapted primary school. We have over 90 staff members from various professional groups working at the school.
The school consists of three units, each with its own principal: grades F-6 (with after-school care), Adapted primary school grades 1-9 (with after-school care), and grades 7-9. Community, Respect, Empathy, Safety, and Responsibility (GRETA) are the foundational pillars and core values of Henåns School. The safety team and student health, together with the teachers, are very engaged in the school's value-based work.
At Henåns School, we work for an open climate with good cohesion, as it is important that we care for each other. We focus on health factors and try to do more of what makes students feel good and succeed in school. The entire school actively works with PALS, a value-based initiative, in collaboration with the VG region.
Your tasks
Depending on the qualifications of the applicants and any other subject competencies, there is a need for 1-2 positions. For the older grades (grades 7-9), the focus is primarily on wood and metal crafts, while in grades 3-6 and Adapted primary school (AGS), there is a need for both wood/metal and textile crafts.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate inspiring teaching in the subject of crafts according to the curriculum.
- Create a safe and creative learning environment where students develop practical skills and joy of creation.
- Guide students' learning processes, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
- Be responsible for safe tool use, material handling, and the order of the craft room.
- Collaborate with colleagues, participate in the school's development work, and contribute to the overall operation.
- Experience teaching in various stages of primary school and/or within AGS is an advantage, as a combined position may be relevant.
About you
Qualifications:
- Teacher certification with qualifications in crafts for grades 7-9. Additional subject qualifications are advantageous.
- Solid knowledge in the craft subject and well acquainted with the school's governing documents.
- Ability to adapt teaching to students' needs and create an inclusive environment.
- Good pedagogical skills, strong communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of safety in the craft room and good digital competence.

Working hours/duration: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Individual salary setting
Start date: August 12, 2025, or by agreement
