About Praktiska Gymnasiet

Praktiska Gymnasiet is the largest in Sweden within upper secondary vocational education. We know that a good vocational education leads to jobs right after high school, giving our youth a chance to establish themselves early in society. In our teaching, we mix theory with a lot of practice and work to give our students the best school time of their lives. Our guiding principles are Ambition, Power, and Passion! Praktiska Gymnasiet Gamlestaden

The school is located in SKF's historic premises at Rullagergatan 4, Gamlestaden in Gothenburg. The school has newly renovated, large, and modern premises. The school accommodates about 340 students distributed across the following programs: HVAC - towards the Property program, Electrical program, Industrial Technology program, Sales and Service program, and Individual Alternative.

Your mission

The position is a permanent position (100%) with a 6-month probationary period starting HT-25. You will teach and guide our students in Sales and Service, and together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to subject-specific knowledge, you, like other teachers at the school, have tasks such as mentoring, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet, Gamlestaden. We primarily communicate through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your profile

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in Sales and Service and preferably with qualifications in purchasing and entrepreneurship. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs. Your AMBITION is to reach every student with your pedagogy, with high expectations of yourself. With the help of your POWER, you stand up for values such as sustainability, diversity, and equality and inspire your students. Through your PASSION, you inspire and engage each student to develop as far as possible based on their own conditions. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your greatest task is to lead them there!
