Uddared School, which is a school from the 1970s, is like a small oasis in Uddared. Approximately 150 students attend the school. In each grade, there is one class from preschool to grade 5. The school area consists of three buildings that belong to the school and where teaching is conducted in various forms. The school employs teachers, lead teachers, leisure leaders, student assistants, and leisure educators. We share a student health team and a janitor with our neighboring school, Hästhagenskolan. The school also collaborates with Uddared School's two chefs who participate in our meal councils.
The unit's focus areas are cooperative learning and the National Agency for Education's initiative Special Education for Learning in collaboration with Hästhagenskolan. The meetings of the after-school programs are led by one of the school's lead teachers, and the responsibility for our SKA in the after-school programs is led by our teachers in after-school care.
The school has two after-school programs, one for younger ages grades K-1 and one for older ages grades 2-4. At Uddared School, we have an active collaboration between the school and after-school care to provide our students with a cohesive experience throughout the day. This is achieved by having you, as a teacher in after-school care, participate in teaching and recess supervision during the day, and in the afternoon, you are responsible for the activities in after-school care.
The collegial collaboration permeates the entire school, and you belong to a work team that meets once a week. We collaborate on goal fulfillment and care for all our students at the school. The school has an open climate, and if you are a person driven by development and have many ideas and thoughts on how to improve the operations, you will thrive with us.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher in after-school care with us, you will be part of a work team where several professional roles work together for the student's entire school day.
Based on the curriculum, you, along with your colleagues, are responsible for the teaching in after-school care and our systematic quality work. You will also be involved in driving our recess activities with our recess shed and recess activities and be an active part of the peer support work. You will also participate with your expertise during the students' school day. Your position will include teaching physical education for grades 2-5.
All staff in after-school care are provided with clothing for outdoor use in both summer and winter. You will receive a computer as a work tool.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a teaching license and are qualified to teach and be responsible for the operations in after-school care and also qualified to teach physical education up to grade 5. If you have qualifications to teach other subjects, this is an advantage. We welcome both experienced educators and newly graduated teachers in after-school care.
You base your teaching on scientific principles and are well anchored in the school's governing documents. You contribute knowledge in driving learning processes and development forward. You are an engaged colleague, with a relational approach, who wants to contribute to our systematic work in developing Uddared School and the students' learning. You take initiative and have clear leadership in your role as a teacher in after-school care. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians.
