Description

We are looking for someone who has the students' knowledge development in focus.

You will be responsible for teaching the subject of handicrafts for grades 4-6 and we hope you are qualified to teach another subject as well.

Kungshamns school is a 4-6 school focused on students' development and learning. Approximately 150 students in grades 4 to 6 attend our school. We value close and continuous collaboration with our colleagues in the adjacent stages F-3 and 7-9, which creates a coherent thread and a safe transition for students throughout primary school.

The core of our operations is our highly engaged team of teachers. With high subject competence and a genuine interest in their students, they create a stimulating and educational environment. At Kungshamns school, we work together to provide each student with the best conditions to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities mainly consist of planning, implementation, and follow-up. You are responsible for working systematically based on the needs of student groups. You evaluate and reshape your teaching continuously based on students' progression and in consultation with your subject colleague. As a handicrafts teacher with us, you will be part of a work team and the school's other activities.

You are responsible for:

• Planning and conducting lessons that promote creative thinking and practical skills.
• Supporting each student's individual development and creating a holistic view of their learning.
• Promoting openness and participation in the classroom, where every student feels valued and heard.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen and involved.
• Encouraging collaboration and communication among students, which strengthens their relationships and ability to work together.
• Actively contributing to the school's development work by collaborating with colleagues and participating in professional development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in handicrafts. As a person, you are creative, driven, flexible, and solution-focused. You are calm and secure in yourself and enjoy creating a good collaborative climate with colleagues and guardians. You understand and respect the importance of good relationships with students and are responsible for creating teaching that engages and contributes to students' desire to create. We place great importance on your previous experiences and personal suitability.
