Lerum High School aims to be one of the region's most attractive high schools and a natural choice for the youth in Lerum. We are now looking for someone who, together with students, staff, and school management, wants to be part of this work.

With approximately 1,300 students, Lerum High School is an attractive and popular school with a strong value foundation focusing on safety, attendance, and challenges. The school is characterized by breadth and excellence. We offer nine national programs, special education, and IM, divided into five school units, each led by a principal. The school also has an administrative manager and an operations manager for coordination. Teachers are organized in teams around students in the various programs. The high school is located in a fantastic environment, with a green park area right next to Säveån, just a few minutes' walk from Lerum's center and train station.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for teachers in the subjects of Swedish, English, Psychology, History, and Business Economics.

This involves two to three positions that can be combined in various ways depending on which ones become relevant. The positions will be part of unit 5. The teaching of Swedish is primarily in the Sales and Service Program, while English is in the Business Program. The assignments also include mentorship.

Your role also includes actively contributing to the school's development together with competent colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has subject competence and certification in one or more of the subjects Swedish, English, History, Psychology, and Business Economics at the high school level.

It is important that you are a pronounced team player who, together with your colleagues in the work team, works to ensure that students reach as far as possible in their knowledge and life development. You are a teacher in subjects and courses, but your practice is permeated by the curriculum's value foundation and the program's goals. Your mentorship is characterized by a strong commitment to the whole person, and you understand the value of active mentorship in contact with the student and with guardians.

We place particular emphasis on your didactic competence and ability to meet students with different needs and challenges in their learning. You see collaboration with other teachers and resource persons (school librarian, study and career counselor, student health staff) as a given and a prerequisite for success in Swedish schools. You care about your own learning and development together with others. We also place great importance on flexibility and solution focus, and that you can collaborate and communicate with students, colleagues, school management, and other staff.
