About the Workplace

Tingberg School is a F-6 school located in Lödöse, within walking distance from the commuter station and close to the bus stop.

We are directly adjacent to forest and nature, which we use daily. About 400 students attend the school, and around 50 dedicated employees work here. Approximately 200 students are enrolled in the after-school program, divided into three departments.

The students are offered their own separate workspaces in their classrooms to create a good study environment. Each school year, we conduct extensive value-based work that the entire school participates in. Our student health services are active and student-centered, characterized by a good physical and psychosocial work environment with clear structures and routines.

We have high expectations for both students and colleagues and believe that everyone can become as good as possible. By creating a supportive and challenging learning environment, where each individual's needs and abilities are taken into account, we strive for everyone to have the opportunity to develop and reach their full potential.

We work with reading instruction using the Bornholm model to provide each student with the best possible support in their reading development.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher for grades F - 3, you plan and implement your teaching with a focus on preparing students for the next step in their learning development through guidance and stimulation. You see the learning assignment as crucial for students' success and work to ensure they reach their full potential. You have good collaborative skills and believe in developing teaching together with your colleagues. You value building good relationships with both colleagues, students, and guardians, and can adapt your leadership in the classroom to different situations. You are responsible and engaged in your work to provide students with the best possible education.

Qualifications

We are looking for you:

• who is licensed and qualified to teach in the lower grades, F-3.
• who has good experience from teaching in primary school.
• who has a good ability to create safe and respectful relationships with students, promoting a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• who has experience in reading instruction, preferably using the Bornholm model.

You are structured and adapt your teaching to each student's needs, while being independent, proactive, and responsible. Your good social skills enable you to communicate effectively with both students and parents, and you work well in a team with your colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is open and engaged in their teaching role and constantly strives to develop their teaching to give all students the best possible start in their schooling.
