About the Workplace

Silvertärnan is a 7-9 school located near Sportcentrum in Vänersborg.

Currently, about 400 students are enrolled in 15 classes. We are organized into grade-specific teams.

Our goal is to stimulate and develop each student as far as possible based on their individual circumstances. To succeed, we need dedicated staff who can easily build good relationships with students and collaborate well with colleagues and guardians.

As a teacher, you are expected to be a good leader in the classroom. You are clear and structured and can put the teaching into context so that students understand. You should have a positive attitude and approach towards colleagues, students, and guardians.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach science and possibly mathematics to our students in grades 7-9. As a subject teacher, you are expected to have good knowledge of your subjects, as well as the ability to teach and adapt to students' needs. You are expected to be part of the subject teams' joint efforts and participate in school-wide development work.

In addition to teaching, mentoring is included alongside other teachers or support staff. In your role as a mentor, you maintain a good relationship with both students and guardians.

Qualifications

You are a licensed primary school teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in natural sciences and possibly mathematics.

Conditions

Start date: 2025-08-11. The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.

Upon employment, a criminal record extract must be presented before starting.
