About the Workplace

The mother tongue teachers in Vänersborg carry out their assignments at various schools.

However, we operate from a common workplace where we meet at least once a week for joint meetings and the opportunity for collegial work. Our premises are located at Tärnans School in central Vänersborg.

Job Responsibilities

You will maintain and develop children's and young people's multilingualism and contribute to increased goal achievement for students with a mother tongue other than Swedish.

You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results based on the student's conditions and needs. Have high expectations of the students and their ability to develop, as well as capture and stimulate students' curiosity, interest, and learning. You take responsibility for relevant professional development to grow in your profession and contribute to good collaboration with your colleagues.

The work consists of mother tongue teaching and study guidance in the mother tongue for students in Vänersborg's schools. Teaching is in grades 1-9 of compulsory school. You collaborate with colleagues and have teaching assignments at several schools.

Qualifications

Any education with a pedagogical focus is meritorious, as well as experience as a teacher in the relevant teaching language as a mother tongue within compulsory school. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good computer skills.
