JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a substitute teacher for teaching home economics and Swedish in grades 6 to 9. You will be part of one of the school's four teams, where we strive to utilize everyone's competencies in planning and teaching. The assignment includes mentorship. The mentorship means that you support your mentees in their academic and social development and create good relationships with guardians.

Our quality and development work focuses on conscious teaching where student perceptions are the starting point for instruction. The school is part of a development project, ÄDK - Subject Didactic Collegium, where students' learning is in focus. We strive for everyone to dare to "put their teaching on the table" to support and challenge each other with a curious and critical approach. It is by sharing mistakes and good examples that we learn and develop together.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop teaching and engage students together with their colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, we are looking for someone who has a teaching degree and is qualified to teach home economics and Swedish for grades 6 to 9. It is an advantage if you have experience in mentorship in your role as a teacher.

You have good collaboration skills and a high degree of personal maturity. It is important for us that you are good at establishing and maintaining good relationships, are empathetic, and are clear and structured in your working methods. You have the ability to see all students and have the competence and ability to consider their different conditions. You know that good relationships with your students and close collaboration with guardians are prerequisites for successful learning. At Lexby School, all students have their own computers, and the computer is a natural part of teaching. This means that you as an educator need to be comfortable using a computer in your work.
