JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a leisure teacher with us, you will be a key person in developing a meaningful and educational leisure activity for our youngest students in grades K-3. You will be part of a team together with teachers and leisure staff where you collectively create creative, safe, and developing days with a holistic perspective on the students' learning throughout the day.

At the leisure center, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the school's curriculum. You will also be an active part of our school development work, with a particular focus on driving the pedagogical development of the leisure center forward. The position also includes regular tasks such as documentation, assessment, and parent contacts. For those new to the role of educator, we offer mentorship for a good start in the profession.

The school has students from preschool to grade 6, with a leisure center and leisure club. Our strength is our dedicated educators who, with great heart and willingness, work together to develop the operations. You will find us beautifully located in the Furulund area with good communication links to Partille center and Gothenburg.

The recruitment concerns 1-2 positions, depending on whether necessary decisions are made.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher in leisure education/leisure pedagogy. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a leisure teacher and if you are qualified to teach Home and Consumer Studies.

You have a genuine interest in working with children aged K-3 and are driven to create a safe, educational, and stimulating environment for them. You are passionate about the pedagogical mission of the leisure center and want to actively contribute to its development in collaboration with other colleagues.

You have the ability to create learning situations that are based on the students' strengths and experiences. It is natural for you to build good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and student health. You thrive in a role that involves significant responsibility and where you have the space to take your own initiatives. We value educators who confidently, clearly, and passionately drive teaching forward.
