Teacher for After-School Program Wanted at Tidavad School

Tidavad School is a smaller school located in a picturesque environment, where cows graze outside the window. The preschool facilities are also connected to the school, creating opportunities for joint projects and secure relationships for our total of 90 students.

For the autumn term, we are looking for a teacher for the after-school program in grades F-6 for a permanent position.

We are now looking for someone who appreciates the charm of shaping the after-school activities together with colleagues in a smaller setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The after-school program aims to provide students with a meaningful leisure time while complementing the school and contributing to achieving the curriculum goals. We work collaboratively between the school and the after-school program, which gives students greater security and staff a better overall perspective.

When students arrive at the after-school program after school, they are greeted by an adult. Once a week, we have an outdoor day where we go to the school forest, out to the pasture, or play on the schoolyard. Each week, we offer a game of the week and a creative activity of the week. On other days, they can choose free play or work on a project. Once a month, we hold an after-school council where students can express their opinions and wishes regarding the after-school program's activities.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you ensure that the activities are based on applicable governing documents. The school's educators work closely with the student health team to work preventively and promote the educational goals.

In your role, you create meetings with students and build relationships with children and their guardians. You are genuinely interested in children's development and design the activities to create inspiring learning environments and increase their curiosity and interest in gaining more knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you should be an educated teacher for after-school programs or have a background from the previous leisure pedagogue education. You should also have teaching qualifications in sports, music, or art.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and trustworthy. You have a secure and inspiring leadership style for the children and the ability to create good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You are creative and resourceful and can easily adapt to the individual needs and conditions of each student. We also see that you are development-oriented with the ability to plan, document, and evaluate the activities based on applicable governing documents.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
